It was Science week this week in school and we have had lots of wonderful things going on from special visitors, to crazy science experiments.
For your homework this week we would like you to comment on the blog telling us all about your favourite part of the week.
Remember to include lots of adjectives to describe how much you enjoyed it.
We look forward to reading your comments.

my favouriout part of science week was Monday when I had touched the cornflour and water mixed togeather . It felt so sticky and whenI tried to punch it it felt as solid as a rock. And on Wednesday I saw a Lambogihine .It was as precious as a diamond . I bet people in Alaska heard the eingine roaring .This was the best week ever!
ReplyDeleteScience week began on Monday 21st of January and ended on Friday 31st of January. I enjoyed Science week , it was amazing and I learnt a lot. I learnt about solids and liquids. Solids are hard and they don't slip out out of your hands like liquids do. Liquids are runny. l also learnt how to separate soil from stones by using a yellow sieve. My favourite day was Monday because we did lots of fun activities including one about an erupting volcano. My second favourite was the cornflower goo experiment which was slimy and gooey. On Wednesday, we saw a beautiful black and orange Lamborghini which is very expensive. It costs £250,000. Some of the pupils were very lucky to sit in the car. Wow what a week!!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite part of science week was doing my homework-I made a lava lamp. While I was doing the lamp, it felt really exciting, because I wanted to see how it would look when the project had finished. When I finished it, I was amazed how it worked! Another incredible part of science week was one of the experiments called- cornflower goo. The experiment was cool, because the cornflower felt like glue and when the goo dried out, it was soooo sticky, that you needed to wash it off with water, because you couldn’t scrape it off with your fingers! Plus it is easy to make. Another favourite thing of science week was- Mad scientist day. It was fun, because everybody would be staring at you and you would be getting lots of attention and also it was just fun to dress up. Overall I loved everything during science week! It was the best week of year 4 so far!
ReplyDeleteOn Monday started the magnificent science week. I felt really excited because we dressed in mad scientists and did some amazingly cool experiments. My favourite experiment was the cornflake goo: what we did was to put water and cornflake and then mixed them together. After that we put our hands in the goo and it felt all sticky. I also discovered that if you hold the goo in your hand it will go super solid, but if you leave it on the table it will dissolve and melt.
ReplyDeleteThe next day we sorted out liquids and solids in the playground. It was fun because we got to go outside and do it! A solid is a thing you can hold. On Wednesday we sorted out solids from liquid. My favourite on that day was to separate paper clips from water because the magnet was very strong and it nearly took out all the clips.
Another day we had to see witch material will absorb the most water and our terrific investigation showed us that the soft fluffy cotton wool will absorb the most water, so my prediction was right!
Miss Garlick’s sister and her colleague from the London ambulance came and told us some facts such as how to put someone in the recovery position. In the afternoon we had seen a black and orange Lamborghini and it’s engine roared like a lion.
SUCH A FANTASTIC WEEK!!
My Favourite part of science week was the cornflower goo because it was really sticky, after i got really messy i had to wash my hands this week was sooooo cool.An other favourite thing of science was makeing a volcano. Firstly i put some Baking soda into the measureing jug then some viniger in then some water then it popd up.
ReplyDeleteScience Week was the best week ever! I learnt that Viscous is a thick liquid. I also enjoyed one of the science projects that Y4G have done. I loved it!!! My favourite one was the cornflower goo, it was a messy project. When I tried to squash the goo it felt like squashing dough! I loved the Lamborghini one. I heard the engines roaring like 20 lions! I really wish that it could happen again soon. Thank you Miss Garlick for the treat!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part of science week was doing experiments and using the cornflour goo. it felt like putting your hand into porridge. We went outside to do rocks and soils to find out what rocks and soil is made up of. Miss Hunten told us that the thick liquid was called vickers. I also enjoyed it when the Lamborghini came into out school because year 3 where learning about cars. There was also an Aldi next to it, no one was looking at the Aldi because everyone was more interested about the Lamborghini.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite part of science week was when we did the experiments that were sooo cool , one of the experiments was called cornflower goo because it was all sticky and yucky! All that was made from cornflower and water when I came to know that, I was extremely shocked and amazed. It was incredible recipe! On Tuesday we sorted out liquids and solids in the playground and we used a sieve to separate the rocks from the soil, we also used a sieve and magnet to separate rocks and paperclips from the water. On Wednesday afternoon we had a surprise from Mrs Sangah .Initially we saw nothing but then there was something roaring, can you guess what it was? A beautiful black and orange Lamborghini Murierlago which cost £180.00 it was as precious as a diamond some of the pupils were very lucky to sit in the car. What a fantastic week!
ReplyDeletemy favourite part of science week was the corn flower goo because when you look and pick up it looks like it is solid but when you pick it up it gust runs through your hands. yucky and very stick and the very funny thing was that teodora put some corn flower goo on to her face it must of felt very sticky. my most favourite scientific vocabulary is viscous that means a thick liquid.the least favourite experiment is the floating egg because the egg in every cup it on stays the same.
ReplyDeletemy favorite part of science week was when we did a experiment called the cornflower goo it was very sticky and gooey it looks as if it's solid but when you touch it it's very weird it's called viscous thick liquid .my least favorite experiment was the floating lemons because it was impossible to put the coins onto the lemons while it was still floating.
