A very snowy day in year three

What a wonderful day we have had!

We shook the trees and listened carefully to hear the sound of the snowfall

We thought of describing words for our poems




Our igloo





We made bricks and built an igloo!!

We worked as a team and built a snowman





The snow was 10cm!







Here is one poem we wrote; we used onomatopoeia, repetition and alliteration and lots of fabulous describing words!!!

Winter poem



The sparkling snow slid off the crunchy branches

CRUNCH CRUNCH CRUNCH!!!

The sparkly snow gliitterd across the enormous garden

On the right side there was AN ENORMOUS SNOW GOOSE!!!

The snow goose started flapping

FLAP FLAP FLAP!!!

The snow felt FREEZING COLD!

It smelt bitter and salty!

The beautiful birds sang calmly and silently across the long white sky

TWEET TWEET TWEET!!!

The wind blew slowly



WOOSH WOOSH WOOSH!!!
